The Great British Sewing Bee Series 7 Contestant, Lawratu Patton, will bring her business Seamesew Supplies to The Stitch Festival 2024 in The Business Design Centre, London, from 21st – 24th March.
Seamesew Supplies is one of just six independent brands hand-picked for a coveted spot in The Indie Biz Village at the show. This market style area gives visitors the chance to shop from emerging small but beautiful craft businesses.
Lawratu says: “I’m really excited to be part of the Indie Biz Village at The Stitch Festival because it’s a great opportunity to introduce lots of makers to a new skill they might not have tried before – bra making!
I started sewing because I wanted to create garments that were perfectly made for my body. As someone with a larger bust, I know that finding underwear that is beautiful and wearable can be particularly tough.
That’s why Seamesew Supplies offers makers the chance to create one-of-a-kind underwear that fits them like a glove. People are often intimidated by making underwear but just like anything else, you need to go ‘one seam at a time’.
People can get creative and mix and match colours and patterns however they want. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!”
