Over 230 workshops

Our workshop programme lies at the heart of the show. With the help of some of the World’s best textile crafters we put together a jam-packed programme of over 230 classes which catered to all abilities and interests.

Our workshops range from one-hour taster sessions to 90 minute, two-hour and three-hour masterclasses.

Sessions included rag-rugging, applique, macrame, needlefelting, fair isle knitting, machine sewing, embroidery, dressmaking and more.

Crafty Classes 4 Kids

Children of all ages were welcome to The Stitch Festival with the opportunity to unleash their creativity in ‘Crafty Classes 4 Kids’. Every day at the show, we’ hosted a variety of 30 minute childrens’ craft and textile classes.

Please note: We are trying to limit the amount of cash taken for workshops and merchandise and would encourage you to use a debit or credit card wherever possible. Most exhibitors will continue to accept cash but can take card payments too.

The workshops were an ideal opportunity to get to grips with the wonders of an overlocker – which sews, trims and neatens seam allowances all in one go!

Useful information

Basic Sewing Kits – All students are asked to bring their own basic sewing kit to eliminate the need to share (embroidery scissors, pins, hand needles, dressmaking shears (if appropriate), marking pen, tape measure, black, white and grey general purpose threads).
