Treasure Kave Embroidery – First time at The Stitch Festival
Press release - The Stitch Festival 2024

Colourful hand embroidery business, Treasure Kave embroidery at The Stitch Festival 2024

Treasure Kave embroidery is a modern hand embroidery business, with colourful, whimsical and nature inspired kits and patterns. Treasure Kave embroidery is excited to be exhibiting at the The Stitch Festival in the Business Design Centre, London, on the 21st to 24th March.

Treasure Kave embroidery was founded in 2020 by life long embroidery lover Katherine Savage. Having been taught by her grandmother age 7, she doesn’t remember a time when a needle and thread were far away. Embroidery became part of her DNA and she incorporated it into many parts of her education and personal life. Armed with a degree in product design development and many years working in fashion buying and later customer strategy, an opportunity arose to pursue a career doing what she always dreamed of.

Treasure Kave embroidery takes traditional hand stitching methods and simplifies them, helping make embroidery more accessible. Teaching regular adult and children workshops in SW London and Surrey has enabled Katherine to truly see how she can help people remotely with the kits she designs. So to help her customers learn in the way they prefer, she provides video guides for each stitch and also written instructions with picture guides too. Each kit comes in a beautifully presented and giftable letterbox with everything you need to create your own artwork, with high quality supplies all sourced sustainably from the UK and Europe.

Katherine is inspired by nature and animals and has an ever growing range of beginner-intermediate kits and designs. She also has a range of kits suitable for children as young as 6+ or 9+ as she’s passionate about the mental health benefits hand stitching can have whilst growing up.

NEW FOR THE STITCH FESTIVAL:
Katherine is delighted to be bringing her best selling embroidery kits and launching various new kits at the show.
Following many many requests for a thread painted panda design she had on display at the Knitting & Stitching show in Oct 23, she’s excited to be launching that design as an embroidery kit at the Stitch Festival.
My best selling Bumble Bee kit will also now be available as a kit with some 3D stump work for those more experienced stitchers.
Also look out for her Easter Bunny design.
Embroidery kits range from £22 - £34

STITCHING ON CLOTHES:
Did you know up to 100 billion garments are produced by the fashion industry every year and as much as 92 million tons of clothing ends up in landfills.
As a passionate up-cycler, It’s highly likely Katherine will be wearing something she’s stitched whilst at the show.
She will also be bringing her collection of ‘Stick and Stitch’ patches which are the perfect way to get stitching on clothes, alongside her favourite up-cycling tools. This is feel good stitching at it’s best, good for you, your wardrobe and the environment.
Stick and Stitch patches from £9.00

MINI STITCH WORKSHOPS:
Katherine loves being hands on helping people with embroidery, so what better way than have a table on her stand to do just that. She will be running a mix of mini workshops that can be booked in advance and various drop in sessions to perfect your French knots and get advice on stitch projects. For pre booked workshops please see her website for full details.

EMBROIDERY ACCESSORIES:
Do you love embroidery but already have many threads and hoops? For those with many embroidery supplies already, Katherine will be bringing her much requested fabric square panels to buy separately from her kits. Lovely cotton/linen fabric with a pre-printed design, ready to pop in a hoop and get stitching.
Pre-printed fabric squares from £9.00

Katherine says: “Embroidery for me is pure relaxation time but with zero guilt as l always have something beautiful to show for it, whilst feeling like a better person afterwards too. l watch friends and family rushing around so much and often juggling many many plates, doing much for others before themselves. l feel strongly that we all deserve to give our minds and bodies some quiet time and we’re happier and healthier as a result. But l also understand carving out that time can often be challenging and getting started is the hardest part. I design my kits with meticulous thought and attention to detail to remove all stress for my customers. So whilst l may be miles away, l’m also there with them at every step too, a bit like a sister who just wants to help you at your own pace.
I’m really looking forward to sharing my love of hand embroidery at this year’s Stitch Festival.”

In addition to the Treasure Kave shop, Not on the High Street and Etsy, you can also find Treasure Kave on Instagram and in various craft studios teaching workshops across SW London.

If you’re visiting the Stitch Festival, you can find Treasure Kave embroidery on stand J27 on the Mezzanine level near the workshops.
