14/02/2024
imogen melissa was founded with the premise of modernising perceptions of beading and embroidery. Offering everything from beaded embroidery to jewellery making kits, a fully stock bead shop and haberdashery, to keep you beading away!

With a degree in textile design, Imogen Rhodes-Davies founded imogen melissa in 2020, with the aim to modernise the perception of embroidery. Inspired by the colour and intricacies of coral reefs, she has developed a range of beaded embroidery kits where you can learn this technique yourself.

BEADED EMBROIDERY KITS: FROM £38
These stunning kits have been designed to give the user a taste of hand embroidery and beading for all experience levels, from beginner to confident crafter. Along with beads, fabric and needles the kit also contains a booklet of tips and tricks with video links further explaining the process and encouraging users to experiment with the techniques.

A brand-new imogen melissa kit is launching at The Stitch Festival 2024. A 3D beaded flower kit, where you’ll work with larger sequins and beads to create beaded flowers in cheerful colours, perfect for welcoming Spring with.

BEADED JEWELLERY KITS: FROM £25
Along with the beaded embroidery kits, imogen melissa also stocks 2 beaded bracelet kits, ‘beaded daisy bracelet kit’ and ‘Freshwater Pearl and bead bracelet kit’. While also, a beaded necklace kit, which includes jewellery making pliers so you can get really stuck into making your own beaded jewellery. These kits are always popular with a younger audience and a great introduction to the world of beading.

Imogen says: “The real passion behind the brand is to show-off the wonderful world of beading and beaded embroidery, and to inspire others to try it themselves. I’m looking forward to meeting like-minded people and sharing my beaded world for the second time at this year’s Stitch Festival.”

Alongside the imogen melissa store, Etsy and Not on the High Street, Imogen can be found on Instagram and regularly delivers group workshops on beaded embroidery and jewellery making.

If you’re visiting The Stitch Festival, you can find imogen melissa on stand J76 in the Gallery Bays, situated on the balcony area on level one which is on the right as you enter the show.
